Create Your Perfect Binding

Here you may select the desired type of binding for your calendars.

The ring binding, also called spiral or wire-O bond, is a classic and popular book binding method which is used for presentations in particular. With a metal wire, a twin spiral is formed, which runs through previously perforated sheets of paper. This is a cheap but also stable binding type. Depending on the book thickness or number of sheets, different spiral diameters are used. This enables the best possible turning over of your printed information.

Size is measured in inches (except for Banners).

Your artwork must be submitted in this size plus bleed. For more information please go to Bleed & Safe Area.

If your product includes folding, this is the size before folding.

Catalogs/Magazines and Calendars are not considered folded products. Their size refers to one page.

For catalogs and saddle stitched calendars, pages are available in multiples of 4 because sheets are folded over and bound in the middle, resulting in 4 pages per sheet.

For wire-o calendars, 13 or 14 pages are available.

One way or another, please always set up your print files as single pages and send them in multi-page PDFs.

    Your Service Options

    Automated File Check (Free):

When you upload your files, an application checks them for document size, color mode, and resolution.

Error detection, however, is not guaranteed. If you choose this option, we do not take any responsibility for misprints due to incorrect files.

Non-CMYK color modes will automatically be converted to CMYK, which may lead to slight color deviations.

      Manual File Review ($9.90):

If you choose this option, one of our experts will review your file and inform you about any errors or risks. Minor issues that can be corrected within a reasonable timeframe will be fixed immediately. If everything is correct or only a small adjustment is needed, we will release your file for production right away.

In case we make visible changes to your print file, you will receive an online proof, giving you the opportunity to review the updated file and approve any changes we have made.

If your file contains significant issues that prevent us from printing, we will inform you and ask you to upload new, corrected files.

You may decline the online proof of your adjusted print files once and reupload new files, which our graphics department will review again. However, any additional online proof or file upload requires the purchase of another Manual File Review ($9.90).

Please note: Your turnaround time begins only after your print-ready files have been submitted and approved.

      Layout Service (starting at $39.90):

We can create print-ready files for you, following your basic instructions. Any artwork you deliver must be of printable quality. You will be able to review your file and ask for improvements twice.

This service also covers correction services that exceed the time allocation of the Manual File Review option.

For more information please go to Print File Services.

You are always welcome to contact us per Live-Chat or e-mail.

    Structuring Content for Maximum Impact

    • A consistent look page by page. Maintain visual harmony throughout the catalog with a structured page layout, consistent design elements and clear, easy-to-read typography.
    • Clear structure and distinct presentation. Organize the content into a logical flow with clear navigation and consistent section breaks.
    • Less is more. Choosing the perfect binding allows you to produce a catalog with a higher page count. Take advantage of this and avoid overloading the pages or compressing the content. Leave enough white space to optimize readability and visual appeal and be sure to use a typeface and font size that are easy to read.
    • Down to the smallest detail. Since there’s no limit to the number of pages with this binding method, you have the opportunity to illustrate your content with detailed information, engaging images and additional diagrams.
