Create Your Handbooks
Here you may select the desired type of binding for your calendars.
The ring binding, also called spiral or wire-O bond, is a classic and popular book binding method which is used for presentations in particular. With a metal wire, a twin spiral is formed, which runs through previously perforated sheets of paper. This is a cheap but also stable binding type. Depending on the book thickness or number of sheets, different spiral diameters are used. This enables the best possible turning over of your printed information.
Size is measured in inches (except for Banners).
Your artwork must be submitted in this size plus bleed. For more information please go to Bleed & Safe Area.
If your product includes folding, this is the size before folding.
Catalogs/Magazines and Calendars are not considered folded products. Their size refers to one page.
For catalogs and saddle stitched calendars, pages are available in multiples of 4 because sheets are folded over and bound in the middle, resulting in 4 pages per sheet.
For wire-o calendars, 13 or 14 pages are available.
One way or another, please always set up your print files as single pages and send them in multi-page PDFs.

Smart Tips for Creating Effective Manuals
Design Tips for User-Friendly Manuals
- Keep it simple. Use clean layouts and clear headings so your readers can easily find the information they need.
- Focus on readability. Choose fonts and sizes that are easy on the eyes.
- A picture is worth a thousand words. Add helpful diagrams or illustrations to your information to clarify details or processes.
- Structure is everything here. Organize your content logically with clear sections and a logical flow to guide the reader step by step through the topic.

Quality features that matter.
- Durable binding. Use a cover that’s ideally suited to how your manual will be used.
- The right choice of paper. Select materials for your manual that perfectly support your information and its intended use.
- Clear graphics. Ensure that all images and diagrams can be printed clearly.
- Practical additions. Consider including tabs or indexes to make it easier to navigate your information.
Budget-friendly tips
- The sooner, the better. Planning early helps avoid rush fees in production or shipping.
- Stick to standard sizes. Choose industry-standard formats such as A4 or 8.5“ x 11” to minimize setup costs and optimize production, especially for binding and shipping.
- Keep your distribution list in mind. Printing in larger quantities often lowers the cost per unit. Assess your distribution needs and consider placing a bulk order to achieve the best possible value for your money.
- Avoid redundancy. Structure and edit your content efficiently to eliminate unnecessary pages. A concise, well-organized manual can be more effective and a shorter page count is usually more cost-effective.
