Create Your Textbooks
Here you may select the desired type of binding for your calendars.
The ring binding, also called spiral or wire-O bond, is a classic and popular book binding method which is used for presentations in particular. With a metal wire, a twin spiral is formed, which runs through previously perforated sheets of paper. This is a cheap but also stable binding type. Depending on the book thickness or number of sheets, different spiral diameters are used. This enables the best possible turning over of your printed information.
Size is measured in inches (except for Banners).
Your artwork must be submitted in this size plus bleed. For more information please go to Bleed & Safe Area.
If your product includes folding, this is the size before folding.
Catalogs/Magazines and Calendars are not considered folded products. Their size refers to one page.
For catalogs and saddle stitched calendars, pages are available in multiples of 4 because sheets are folded over and bound in the middle, resulting in 4 pages per sheet.
For wire-o calendars, 13 or 14 pages are available.
One way or another, please always set up your print files as single pages and send them in multi-page PDFs.

Smart Strategies for Creating Effective and Affordable Textbooks
Design Tips for better Textbooks
- Less is more. Use clean layouts with easy-to-read headings and avoid design elements that distract from learning.
- A picture is worth a thousand words. Add helpful diagrams or illustrations to your content to clarify details or processes.
- One chapter at a time. Organize the content and topics so that they follow a logical sequence and make sense for learning.
- The helpful toolbox. Provide your students with important learning tools and include helpful extras such as study guides and review sections.

Think about quality
- Binding is everything. Choose the right binding option from our extensive portfolio that perfectly suits the intended use of your textbook.
- The perfect paper. For a textbook, select paper that looks great and is easy to write on.
- Clear images and colors. Make sure all images and diagrams are sharp and meaningful.
- Helpful extras. Add useful tools such as glossaries and quick-reference guides to support your content.
Ways to save money
- The sooner, the better. Early planning allows for better pricing and helps avoid rush fees in production or shipping.
- Avoid redundancy. Organize and edit your content efficiently to eliminate unnecessary pages. A concise, well-structured yearbook can be more effective and a smaller page count is usually more cost-effective.
- All in one order. Bundle the production of multiple educational materials and take advantage of volume discounts.
- Stick to standard formats. Use common sizes to keep customization costs low.
