Create Your Textbooks

Here you may select the desired type of binding for your calendars.

The ring binding, also called spiral or wire-O bond, is a classic and popular book binding method which is used for presentations in particular. With a metal wire, a twin spiral is formed, which runs through previously perforated sheets of paper. This is a cheap but also stable binding type. Depending on the book thickness or number of sheets, different spiral diameters are used. This enables the best possible turning over of your printed information.

Size is measured in inches (except for Banners).

Your artwork must be submitted in this size plus bleed. For more information please go to Bleed & Safe Area.

If your product includes folding, this is the size before folding.

Catalogs/Magazines and Calendars are not considered folded products. Their size refers to one page.

For catalogs and saddle stitched calendars, pages are available in multiples of 4 because sheets are folded over and bound in the middle, resulting in 4 pages per sheet.

For wire-o calendars, 13 or 14 pages are available.

One way or another, please always set up your print files as single pages and send them in multi-page PDFs.

    Your Service Options

    Automated File Check (Free):

When you upload your files, an application checks them for document size, color mode, and resolution.

Error detection, however, is not guaranteed. If you choose this option, we do not take any responsibility for misprints due to incorrect files.

Non-CMYK color modes will automatically be converted to CMYK, which may lead to slight color deviations.

      Manual File Review ($9.90):

If you choose this option, one of our experts will review your file and inform you about any errors or risks. Minor issues that can be corrected within a reasonable timeframe will be fixed immediately. If everything is correct or only a small adjustment is needed, we will release your file for production right away.

In case we make visible changes to your print file, you will receive an online proof, giving you the opportunity to review the updated file and approve any changes we have made.

If your file contains significant issues that prevent us from printing, we will inform you and ask you to upload new, corrected files.

You may decline the online proof of your adjusted print files once and reupload new files, which our graphics department will review again. However, any additional online proof or file upload requires the purchase of another Manual File Review ($9.90).

Please note: Your turnaround time begins only after your print-ready files have been submitted and approved.

      Layout Service (starting at $39.90):

We can create print-ready files for you, following your basic instructions. Any artwork you deliver must be of printable quality. You will be able to review your file and ask for improvements twice.

This service also covers correction services that exceed the time allocation of the Manual File Review option.

For more information please go to Print File Services.

You are always welcome to contact us per Live-Chat or e-mail.

    About Textbooks

Textbooks are key learning tools that help students understand new subjects and support teachers in their daily lessons. Our textbook printing makes sure your educational content is clear, easy to read, and built to last throughout the school year. Whether you're publishing a full curriculum or adapting formats like annual reports into educational tools, we offer the flexibility to match your goals.

    1. Quality That Lasts: We use strong paper and binding methods that hold up to daily use while keeping content clear and readable.
    2. Easy to Read: Sharp text and clear images help students focus on learning rather than struggling to read the content — and for informal note-based formats, our notepads might be the better fit.
    3. Practical Design Options: Choose from different sizes, paper types, and binding styles to create textbooks that work best for your subject — even if your layout resembles those used in catalogs.
    4. Helpful Features: Add things like tabs, section markers, and study guides to help students find what they need quickly.
    5. Size Choices: Whether you need slim subject guides or complete course textbooks, we can help you create what works for your students.
    6. Print Quality: Get clear, consistent printing for all your content, from text to diagrams and educational images.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What makes a good textbook?

A good textbook makes learning easier. It should be easy to read, well-organized, and strong enough for daily use. The text should be clear, images should help explain the content, and students should be able to find information quickly. When a textbook is well-made, it helps students learn better and makes teaching more effective.

What's the best binding choice for different grade levels?

For younger students, spiral binding often works best since it lays flat and is easier to handle. Middle and high school textbooks usually do better with sturdy sewn binding that can handle frequent use. For college textbooks, we suggest case binding (hardcover) for main course books and perfect binding (softcover) for supplementary materials. We'll help you pick what works best for your students.

What if I need to add digital components to our textbooks?

You can add QR codes or special sections that connect to online resources. This lets students easily access video content, interactive exercises, or updated information. We'll help you include these features in a way that makes sense for your teaching style and keeps the book user-friendly.

How long does it take to print textbooks?

Most textbooks take 1-2 weeks to print after you approve the final design. This can change based on how many books you need and what special features you want. We suggest starting early, especially if you need books ready for the new school year. This gives us time to make sure everything is just right.
