Create Your Saddle Stitch
Here you may select the desired type of binding for your calendars.
The ring binding, also called spiral or wire-O bond, is a classic and popular book binding method which is used for presentations in particular. With a metal wire, a twin spiral is formed, which runs through previously perforated sheets of paper. This is a cheap but also stable binding type. Depending on the book thickness or number of sheets, different spiral diameters are used. This enables the best possible turning over of your printed information.
Size is measured in inches (except for Banners).
Your artwork must be submitted in this size plus bleed. For more information please go to Bleed & Safe Area.
If your product includes folding, this is the size before folding.
Catalogs/Magazines and Calendars are not considered folded products. Their size refers to one page.
For catalogs and saddle stitched calendars, pages are available in multiples of 4 because sheets are folded over and bound in the middle, resulting in 4 pages per sheet.
For wire-o calendars, 13 or 14 pages are available.
One way or another, please always set up your print files as single pages and send them in multi-page PDFs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is saddle stitch binding?
Saddle stitch binding is a cheap and popular way to make catalogs. It involves folding sheets of paper and securing them with staples along the fold.
What are the benefits of saddle stitch catalogs?
Saddle stitch catalogs offer a range of benefits for businesses and their customers. Their simple binding makes them cheap. Their versatility allows for many uses, like product catalogs, event programs, and guides. The lightweight design of saddle stitch catalogs ensures they are easy for customers to handle and carry. Additionally, saddle stitch catalogs have quicker production times compared to other binding methods. The customizable sizes and paper options let you create catalogs that perfectly fit your needs and preferences.
What is the maximum number of pages for a saddle stitch catalog?
The max pages for a saddle stitch catalog depend on the paper weight. Because of how the sheets are folded, the number of pages must be divisible by 4. So each sheet used in a saddle stitch booklet creates 4 pages. These machines can only secure around 29 sheets. So, the max is 116 pages.
What is the minimum quantity for saddle stitch catalog orders?
Our minimum order quantity for saddle stitch catalogs is just 1 unit, giving you complete flexibility for your needs. However, we recommend ordering larger quantities to benefit from significant cost savings, as the price per unit significantly decreases with higher order volumes. This is because setup costs, such as preparing the equipment and materials, are spread across more units in larger print runs.
Tips: How to Get the Most Out of Saddle Stitch Catalogs
Design & Content Best Practices
- Choose the Right Paper Type: Select a paper tuype that matches your design and enhances the overall look and feel of your saddle stitch catalog. Consider factors like thickness, texture, and finish (e.g., gloss or matte) to create a professional and engaging piece.
- Use the Available Space Effectively: Maximize the effect of your saddle stitch catalog by making the most of the available space. Use clear headings, subheadings, and bullet points to organize your content and make it easy for readers to understand. Use white space intentionally to improve readability and visual appeal.
- Include a Strong Call-to-Action: Encourage your audience to take the desired action by adding a clear and irresistible call-to-action (CTA) in your saddle stitch catalog. Whether you want them to visit your website, make a purchase, or contact you for more information, make sure your CTA stands out and effectively communicates the next step.

Technical & Production Tips
- Order in Bulk for Cost Savings: Take advantage of quantity discounts by placing larger orders. The more saddle stitch catalogs you order, the lower the price per unit. This is an excellent way to save money, especially for recurring or high-volume projects.
- Submit Print-Ready Files: Make sure your design files are set up correctly and ready for printing. This includes using high-resolution images, converting text to outlines, and providing files in the proper format (e.g., PDF). By submitting print-ready files, you can avoid additional pre-printing fees and potential delays.
- Proofread Before Printing: Check your saddle stitch catalog for errors and typos before printing. Double-check all text, images, and design elements to ensure they appear as intended. Have multiple people proofread the catalog. They might catch mistakes you missed.
