Contour cut

For the customised contour cut, we need a cutting/milling contour. You can create this contour in a vector program of your choice on the finished layout. The line must be a closed path in a clearly visible spot colour. Name this colour "CutContour". The contour is not printed, it only servers for cutting. Please make sure to keep the number of nodes on the line as low as possible. Avoid delicate motifs and pointed edges. The smallest corner radius is 4 mm. Do not position essential text and elements too close to the cutting contour (at least 4 mm safety tolerance) to prevent that they are cut off. Additionally, create 2 mm bleed tolerance. We require the layout including contour (as path/curve) in PDF format. Please do not send JPG, TIF or similar file formats.

Summary:

• The contour must be a closed vector path.
• Create the cutting contour as spot colour.
• Name the spot colour "CutContour".
• Contour with as few nodes as possible
• The contour is not printed.
• No pointed edges (radius at least 0.15 inch)
• No delicate motifs
• 0.15 inch safety tolerance of essential text and elements to the cutting contour
• The contour cut can deviate by 0.04-0.07 inch.
